“Well, I was on my way to this gay gypsy bar mitzvah for the disabled when I suddenly thought, gosh the third Reich’s a bit rubbish, I think I’ll kill the Fuhrer. Who’s with me?”

“There are people who have said that I’m being brave for being openly supportive of gay marriage, gay adoption, basically of gay rights but with all due respect I humbly dissent, I’m not being brave, I’m being a decent human being. And I don’t think I should receive an award for that or for merely stating what I believe to be true, that love is a human experience not a political statement. However, I acknowledge that sadly we live in a world where not everybody feels the same. “One of the emails released by the department shows that officials at the private sector firm McKinsey, which advises ministers, were in active discussion about bringing in overseas firms to take over up to 20 hospitals in return for contracts running into hundreds of millions of pounds.”
This is taken from an article from the Guardian yesterday (3rd September), where Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords has raised issues with the Health and Social Care Bill! How can any respecting “left-wing” Liberal Democrat support this bill? Privitisation of a national service which was created to support everyone and not just those who can afford health care is just down right inhumane. When Parliament comes back from recess, I hope that every single Labour MP and those Liberal Democrats still with an ounce of sense and duty left in them will try and stop this bill getting through …
